Listed below is our series of Javelin instructor-led classes. Each session lasts 1 to 2 hours. Please send us an e-mail to be enrolled in any of the sessions below.
Part-Time Javelin
Class Dates: January 13, March 10, May 12, July 14, September 15, November 10 | Time: 12-1 PM Eastern
Description: An overview of Javelin’s capabilities with a focus on Reviewing, Manipulating, and Outputs for an existing job. Class will manipulate one of the Sample Jobs that come standard with a Javelin installation. At the end of the session, students will be able to open a Javelin file, open and print a Layout Sheet, member report(calc), Material List. They will also be able to navigate the Job Tree, Visibilities, select Objects, and change Properties. Minor inputs, editing, and revisions will also be included.
Target audience: Part-Time or Beginning Javelin users, Managers, Engineers, Sales, Administration.
Javelin Output
Class Dates: January 13, March 10, May 12, July 14, September 15, November 10 | Time: 2-3:30 PM Eastern
Course Description: This course is focused on the various forms of Javelin output. It covers tools for cleaning, de-cluttering, and emphasizing a Javelin layout. We also cover various outputs for Material Lists for quoting, ordering, importing to Point of Sale or Stellar systems.
Target audience: Full-Time or Part-Time Javelin users
Javelin Modeling I
Class Dates: January 14, March 11, May 13, July 15, September 16, November 11 | Time: 12-2 PM Eastern
Description: An introduction to modeling in Javelin. Basic input commands to model a first-floor framing system without design. Instructor will model “Exercise 1” specify geometry-only hangers, user input loads, Auto-Frame, Create Material Lists and Layout Sheet.

Javelin Modeling II
Class Dates: January 15, March 12, May 14, July 16, September 17, November 12 | Time: 12-2 PM Eastern
Description: Intermediate modeling and editing in Javelin, multiple levels and more complex modeling concepts. Also includes creating Loads for use with Design. A more interactive session, students will be asked to perform tasks during the class session.
Target audience: Beginning to Intermediate Javelin users.
Javelin Design and Analysis
Class Dates: January 16, March 13, May 15, July 17, September 18, November 13 | Time: 12-2 PM Eastern
Course Description: A detailed look at the Design panel, errors that can occur during the Design process, resolving those errors, and interpreting warnings. Students will also learn how to interpret product failures and member reports after completing design. Connectors will also be reviewed.
Target audience: Full-Time Javelin users, Engineers using Javelin for design review.
Javelin Special Topics
Class Dates: January 17, March 14, May 16, July 18, September 19, November 14 | Time: 12-2 PM Eastern
Course Description: The topics covered in this course vary with each session. A designer may encounter these topics frequently or not at all – depending on the needs of their market. Sample topics include: Tall Wall Modeling, Roof Loading Tools, Roof Modeling Tools, Options, Job Pack Floor Systems.
